Beaufort, NC Jumble Sale!!! 9am- 3pm

Tomorrow I will be at the Beaufort Jumble sale selling Fine art prints, Bookpage jewelry, Christmas card sets and Christmas ornaments. Lots of good stuff to package and be ready for Christmas, its right around the corner ya know. I will post some pictures of the event tomorrow. It will be my first time doing this event so I'm excited. It will also be my first time selling my art in the world since January. Wow, it seems like forever.  My booth mate will be family sellers too. My favorite person in the world, aka my Momma will be selling her beautiful and extremely yummy bakery goods. Her carrot cake cupcakes are the best you will ever taste. 

Since I moved I haven't really had a space to work and create. So I carved away a space for myself in the new apartment to work. Here it is, before I started to break it in. :) Its now covered with projects.

I think I have had a long enough sabbatical

Time changes all things but not completely. I had many joys and many sorrows since I last updated this site. Each one of those moments I wouldn't change and I am glad that I have ended up where I am now. Looking around my new apartment I am inspired by the mini vignettes and art that I surround myself with. So I took out an old friend (my Sketch Book) and let began to work out some ideas.

I surround myself with so much color and interesting beauty that I think I have been limiting my art. The work I have been creating is limited to certain dark colors. I love a variety of colors and I think I should broaden my palette horizons. Its time to play :)

Inspiration for the day

I plan on being at The New Bern Farmer's Market this Saturday from 8am till 2pm. I will be selling my jewelry, art prints and ornaments. So please come and enjoy your day at the market. The weather is supposed to be beautiful ! Also my dear market friend is away and needs your thoughts and prayers. Please think of her and her family. I have been missing her very much. 

Solo Art Show

This afternoon I had the opening of of my solo art show at the library. I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. I saw so many faces I knew and one or two new ones. I want to extend a special thanks to the ladies of the library, my family, the Eriksson's, Amy Portofe, Patty Haberman, the kind ladies from Dr. Desmone's office, Mary Anna and Toni. You all warmed my heart to see you there and support me.  

I had to begin the show by introducing myself, talking about my art process, etc. I didn't know they were going to ask me to speak but I got through it. I am not the best public speaker just to explain that statement but everyone was easy on me. I wasn't able to take any pictures myself but there were a few people there taking some shots, so I will post some pictures soon for you. 

The show will be up for the month of November and all of the art up is for sale. A few pieces already sold. On that note, I would like to say that the original of my large tree has sold to a special lady. So I am sorry to say that it is no longer available. I plan to be at The New Bern Farmer's Market this coming Saturday, so please stop by and say hello. I will not have any original artwork available for sale that day but they are available for sale at the library. I will have my jewelry, art prints and some other goodies there though.
