Etsy

So for a while now I have wanted to open an Etsy shop . I have been hesitant for years now about opening up a shop just because I was so intimidated by it . I have had a lot of people ask or request that I join the site to sell my work since I moved home, so I don't think I can avoid it any longer . I have decided to make a timeline for myself to really get it going before the new month begins . Since I started a new job, this may be a unrealistic goal but I am going for it . Now or never, right? I will keep you all posted and I hope it will be a stress free process . If only my life was like my Kayla Bella's life  :)

Another Day at the Market

Every Saturday I drive up to The New Bern Farmer's Market to sell my art and hand made jewelry. I have to say that it is one of my most favorite places to be since I moved back home to North Carolina. All of my fellow vendors are very sweet, inviting and talented. So for this blog entry I would like to introduce you to my fellow neighbors at the market.

This here is my fabulous friend Patty Haberman the artist behind Dreaming Turtle Designs. She was the very first person I met when I first came to sell my work at The New Bern Farmer's Market and I think she is wonderful. She is very supportive of her fellow artists and she creates beautiful work. Click the link above to view her current work and blog.

Here is Mr. Mr. John Dreas another very talented and extremely friendly and supportive artist at the market. He works with chalk pastels to create beautiful and life like work. He loves to create portraits and does a lot of commission based portraits. I have attached a link to his blog-- if you chick on his name.

Lastly but not least is Recycling Is For The Birds. I don't know this vendor very well, I have only spoke to him or his lovely wife in passing but He creates beautiful homes for some lucky birds. He works with a lot of vintage repurposed wood from all sorts of places. Each bird house has so much detail and you really can tell he puts love into what he creates.

Here is an image from his Facebook Page. Support his work and "LIKE" what he does.

I look forward to next weekend to share my work and to enjoy the company of my fellow vendors!

New Necklaces for NBFM

By request I have created some book necklaces for The New Bern Farmer's Market . So here is a little something for the book lover , those who cherish the miniature , and those inspired by curious treasures . Each Necklace is created from vintage leather and over loved poetry book pages . The necklace chain is 20 inches long and the necklace itself as a whole is a very light weight . You will not have to suffer to fashion with this necklace :) I will debut these at the market on Saturday , Feb 25 2012. Each Necklace will cost $21 each and are ready to lovingly adorn someone's neck .

New Bern Farmer's Market

My Booth for the Book Lover's Market Day

I had such a wonderful day at the New Bern Farmer's Market yesterday. It was a little chilly inside the market but outside it was a beautiful day. I usually have a booth towards the end of the market building but yesterday I was settled towards the front. I was able to meet some of my fellow vendor's that I hadn't met yet and try some new baked goodies from Grandma's Goodies bakery. Yum :) I also met some new faces from visitor's to the market and chatted with some of our beloved regulars. We are thankful for our local supporters that come to visit us each Saturday. Come say hello and chat with us anythime.
